My name is Adam K. K. Figueira. I discovered this site as a result of my collaboration with Trevor Banks on his blog,
Toward an LDS Cinema. Although I had heard of AML before, I had never looked into it. I'm really glad I did.
I am 27 years old and (as of about 8 days from now) live in Clinton, UT. I've got a wonderful wife of five years, three darling daughters, and a son who's due any day. I run a part-time videography business out of my home and have recently turned to making short films. My full-time job is in the professional A/V industry. Last year I attended the LDS Film Festival for the first time and I hope to make a submission this year. I also have some writing projects in the works. I'm currently working towards a degree in business management, upon completion of which I plan to take my business full-time. I also love good books and films.
I don't pretend to have any great insight, experience, or expertise in anything that would make my contributions to this group noteworthy. In fact, most of my ideas are old and almost everyone I talk to has thought things through more fully than I. Nevertheless, I want to be a part of the movement. I believe in creation as the highest calling of mankind, and I intend to use my time on earth to create things that edify and inspire others, leading them in some small way closer to Christ.
I have a blog at
http://www.adamanew.blogspot.com, and will be starting another one to post sections of my writing (for both film and other purposes) for feedback.
