. Today I've been posting on a few different strings and I've hit on something that strikes me as weird--I hit post and a dialog box pops up telling me I can't post for X-number of seconds. I have to wait out the countdown before it will let me post. Um, why? (also, it can't count very good--it was 31 when I started this post and only to 7 before this parenthetical; believe me--I was not typing that quickly--I even had a midpost conversation)

. I just had "You can't post in the next 1 seconds" followed immediately by "You can't post in the next 59 seconds" on the same post.

I believe that you are experiencing Eric is a mechanism to prevent flooding i.e. the repeated posting of spam forum threads by automated bots. A Motley Vision: Mormon Arts and Culture

. I think it might not be functioning properly. Also, it's a pain for someone like me that has different threads open in different tabs and may be writing multiple replies simultaneously. Since we have to be logged in to post, is is really necessary? ...9 seconds....

. I just wanted to say that this issue has kept me from posting several times now. Am I alone?
