I better introduce myself here - I'm starting to feel a little selfish. I've been a long time lurker on the AML listserv and now the discussion board - I think I can count on one hand the times I've actually responded to any of the posts, let alone saying anything of value. (My only real connection to AML so far has been my Irreantum article on Mormon theatre history.) But I do intend to become a more active participant, particularly since I have benefited (albeit silently) from the wealth of strong Mormon-Artist-Scholar contributors to this discussion.
So who I am, briefly: I fell in love, twice, while studying at BYU. The first love was The Theatre, the second was my husband, Dan. To fulfill those, I married Dan and decided to teach theatre. I taught theatre history and dramaturgy at BYU (you'll hear plenty more about dramaturgy, I'm sure, as I participate in the discussions.) My husband and I left Provo a year ago, and now I'm mostly busy taking care of our three children, though I am a freelance dramaturg and part time faculty at a local junior college here in Athens, GA. I do love discussing art and theatre, and I feel honored to be in the company of so many great thinkers, practitioners, and fun people.

. Ooo. I'm excited to hear about dramaturgy. I'm especially curious, just now, just how much orthodoxy has been established among dramaturges.
