Freefall is the ultimate fall straight into non-stop adventure. Traci Hunter Abramson does an excellent job of carrying the reader into the world of terrorism, espionage, and the men and women who devote their lives to protecting the rest of us from such a life. At the same time, she manages to avoid the trap of low morals and gore that so often claims other action adventure novels.

The entire story line of this book revolves around the growing romance of Lieutenant Brent Miller and Amy Whitmore. However, action, suspense, and romance are so interwoven that they blend together seamlessly. Each is perfectly balanced with the other aspects of this book. It is impossible to say where action ends and romance begins.

Amy, as the heroine, is very believable. She is not the frilly kind of heroine that you so often see, nor is she an over-bearing feminist. She is simply an average person placed in incredible circumstances and rising to the challenge. As the hero of the book, Brent is used to being placed in incredible circumstances. In his life as a Navy Seal he has moved from adventure to adventure. Both Brent and Amy must overcome fear and insecurity and learn to depend on each other in order to survive.

Because of the way action and romance are so intertwined, Freefall is a book that can be enjoyed by men and women alike. It is a story that can appeal to many different age groups. This book is a great addition to any reader's library. I look forward to reading more of Traci Abramson's books.
